Families of the Children of Sarah5 Washburn and Joseph Carly

The children of Sarah Washburn and Joseph Carly moved north into Vermont and New Hampshire. Their surname eventually evolved to Carley. It was recorded as “Cerly” in the birth records of their first three children in Leicester, Massachusetts, but as “Carly” in their baptisms, Joseph’s father Peter’s surname was recorded as Carly in an early Leicester land record, but as “Corly” in the probate of his estate. This family is still very uncertain at this point, especially the purported families of sons Joseph and Silas Carly, so this should be considered a work in progress, and some of these children may belong to another branch of Carlys. The next generation may be added later when I am more certain of the families of Joseph and Sarah (Washburn) Carly’s children.
