Families of the Children of Bethiah5 Washburn and Nehemiah Bryant

Only one child of Bethiah Washburn and Nehemiah Bryant lived to marry and have a family, although Nehemiah Bryant had other children by his second wife. Lucy Bryant married David Bryant, supposedly the first cousin of her father, and they lived in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA, then moved to Hebron, Cumberland County, Maine, in about 1790. I have relied heavily on Marquis Fayette King’s Annals of Oxford, Maine for many of the birth and marriage dates that I have was unable to verify online, which isn’t always accurate when comparing the dates with the FamilySearch abstracted town records, so some of the dates from King may be incorrect.

David and Lucy Bryant were living in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA, in the 1790 federal census, next door to Seth Washburn,[20] and they moved to Cumberland (now Oxford) Co., ME, but the David Bryant living in Hebron, Cumberland Co., ME, in the 1800 federal census, was the family of their son, David Bryant (Jr.), and the 1810 federal census was lost for Hebron, MA.
